Punishments for drink and driving in different countries

Lot of people have been killed or injured severely because of the people who drive while they are intoxicated. People do not learn from other people’s mistakes and be careful when they drink. Sometimes people do not understand how much alcohol they have consumed and the harm it can done when they will drive in this situation. They consume too much to understand their driving skills and harm people who are innocent. The drinks they have consumed do not let them control their mind and movements, and it affects their ability to judge when they are on road. Lot of countries has laws against drink and driving to prevent accidents. There are also laws against underage driving.  Drinking and driving is not just the problem of teenagers but there are lot of careless adults too who indulge themselves in those dangerous activities.

Drinking and driving has been considered sin in almost all the states and countries in the world. It is a common knowledge that it is risky but still lot of us does not stop doing it. Some of these people can be going unpunished by law but there are those who get involved in accidents get arrested and get punished.

Different countries have different laws for this sin. USA has set two limits for driving who have consumed alcohol. First who have done it in limits to charge a driver that are if he still have the power to control their sense and the other is with blood alcohol level of at least .08. In some countries people who have consumed it on blood level .05 can be charged. In some countries people can be charged if they have opened a container in car. In some state it take the account of intoxication as well as the number of crimes that has been done while drinking and driving to charge penalty. There is different type of punishments for this sin depends on their crime. Some people get jailed some lose their license and some people can get away with some fine to pay.  

In Australia blood alcohol content is .05 for experienced and .02 for those who have learning license. The punishments are same as are in USA.

In France the punishment of this is $1000 with the jail of 1 year and the loss of license for three years.  Punishment in Finland and Sweden same as France but they imprison the sinner with hard labor. People in Norway get three weeks jail with one year license cancellation, and for second they will lose it forever.

This is the same situation almost any other country who have laws against drink and driving.
