Transmission services of vehicles

If you are the owner of any vehicle, then you should know the importance of maintaining transmission time to time. Some vehicle manufacturer companies suggest a specific mileage after which it gets important to maintain the transmissions. Some suggest that there is no need for these services at all. With so much difference of opinion no wonder all these things confuse a person so much. These things also change with the upgradation of cars.

The meaning of transmission services is that we drain the liquid and drop the pan and change the filter on the regulator inside the transmission. It is best to do all these services according to the recommendation of your manufacturer company. There are some of them who claim that their fluid is lifetime and there is no need to change it but still if you have had change it in the past make sure that you do it regularly, and if you have new car it is ok to start the services after 60k miles so that your car will continue working without giving you any problem if your car company has not specify the limit.

In MINI and Audi vehicles we will find a CVT or Continuously Variable Transmission which is quite different from other transmissions. There are some same services which these transmissions do require as others. These transmissions require regular change of filter and fluid. They have higher interval than normal automatic transmission.

There are new types of automatic transmissions in the vehicle world which are known as Sequential Transmissions. Cars which have this transmission do have both manual and automatic gearbox. Many old companies were offering both gearbox automatic and manual with shifter to change but Sequential Gearbox was an idea which was of higher level. The designs are different of each maker but the main use is same. These transmissions have electric, hydraulic or pneumatic motors with clutches to tell you how and when to shift the control module on the board, to offer the manual mode to change to automatic mode through control module so that the driver will not have to use change gears, they will change on their own according to need. You will need to check or upgrade the software so that it works properly.

When it comes to manual transmissions many people forget to change the fluid on time that can harm the other parts of the cars very easily. The fluid last longer than automatic car but after some time it do need changing.

Flushing the transmission can harm the seal severely rather than doing any good to them, so there is no need to do that.
