How to check for the damages in tire of motorbike

Lot of bikes has physical and mechanical issue due to lack of maintenance or carelessness of their riders, and this can cause negative impact on the safety of the rider. There are some issues which are hard for technicians to find out or these problems are out of the job work of technicians. Some bike owners go to service center for oil change and regular check and it gets important for workers to check other things non-related things like pipe-clamps & mounts or tire-wear & pressure to make sure the safety of ride as well as rider. Some people think that only has a clean bike is sufficient, maintenance is not required but they are totally wrong. There will be no benefit if you ride a lush bike and get yourself injured while riding it just because you didn’t get it checked in detail for troubles.

There are some very basic and evident items which can be checked while cleaning and polishing motorbikes.

Firstly things you can check are tires and wheels whether they have any scratches or damage or spokes which are rather difficult to clean. It is also important to check if the polish is aluminum one or powder-coated. Smallest damaged part of tires can cause big accidents. Look closely for distortions or extreme scars. They can be dangerous on the road. They are the indication of damaged wheel seals and make the tire tube get burst or can get the wheel stuck. Use best quality valve-stem caps they can enhance the life of tires. They uphold the balance of bikes. If not perfect they can make a wheel wobbly. They get attached to the bike after its manufacture and are not very suited.

After that watch out for the loose or missing spokes of the spoke wheel. They keep the wheel aligned with wheel hub. If you find anything wrong with them get them repaired beforehand. It is important for wheel to spin smoothly of the ground and there should not be any noise in them if wheel shows any such thing it is because that the wheel hub has shabby bearings and isn’t lubricated properly or it could be because of faulty brake-pad adjustments.

Get the actual rubber and inflation of the tire checked. The depth of the tread should be proper and it should be patterned evenly. If you do not know much about these things, consult with your vehicle’s service provider. Or you can buy tread-depth gauges to inspect them yourself.

Tire can lose its pressure because it has been used too much or its valve cores are badly seated. Use a metal or hard plastic valve cap to make the cores seated properly. If the tire is losing inflation pressure continuously, the bike needs a tire change because it cannot be repaired and has been damaged severely.
