Gloves – A Range of Purposes
Gloves are the best hand equipment used for hand protection at one end while it is used for completing various domestic tasks such as washing, baking, cooking and other related tasks at other end. We use gloves for footwear and more likely we use it for hands. Wearing gloves have so many advantages that protect hand from germs and one can create healthy environment at work. Gloves have several uses at home and outside home. Importantly, people use gloves while they drive, play and perform domestic tasks. It has vast range and uses, sportsman also use gloves while playing different games. Normally, we see the use of gloves is prominent in Baseball, Cricket, Football, Hockey and Rugby. Almost all outdoor sports need this equipment and it is a part of kit. The purpose of gloves is to protect hands from severe injuries that may finish the career of a sportsman, if not cared. So, protection of hand is a very careful business. Other than sports we see the use of gloves is very common in driving. Mostly, driver’s wear gloves while they drive racing cars; while some use for riding bike when they ride for race or casually.
Consequently, the purpose of wearing gloves while riding is to get maximum protection to avoid minor injuries like bleeding and to avoid getting cold. So, its importance can’t be denied when you drive car or whatever. Similarly, the use of gloves play very significant role when all domestic tasks are performed such as cooking and washing clothes. Despite the great uses of gloves, there are so many types and varieties of gloves that vary from each other. If we come to see the categories of gloves, we find metallic gloves, vinyl gloves, leather gloves, ceremonial gloves and fashion gloves. All gloves vary from type to type and have their own uses when it comes to wearing. Metallic gloves are traditional and were used in wars earlier. The time when wars were fought with swords, the use of metallic gloves was common. Today, we see the use of metallic glove to some extent in industries where working nature is bit challenging.
Leather gloves are also used for sports and driving purpose, even cooking is also done by using leather gloves. Moreover, vinyl gloves are also used while cooking takes place. The purpose of cooking of wearing gloves is to get safety and create clean environment. Ceremonial gloves are also used at events no matter it is wedding or death of a person. The tradition of wearing ceremonial gloves is found in high class societies and it has become the mark of their identity. Lastly, fashion gloves are also used that are available in different varieties. People wear fashion gloves at different occasions when they feel necessary to wear it.
