Drinking & Driving is a Serious Offense

Drink & driving is a serious offense committed by so many drivers in this planet. Although it is an offense to drive after drinking and keep alcohol when driving; this should be stopped because it is a crime that may take life of innocents. Many tragedies are happening due to drink driving cases. Mostly people got seriously injured when they are badly hit by car, due to the negligence of driver. What is the negligence of driver? Whenever a driver drives carelessly, most probably he keeps alcohol in the car. Unfortunately, when driver is drunk more likely he will hit innocent persons and can damage public or private property as well. Moreover, some people get punishment when they violate this law. This is a serious offense that has specific punishment depending on the damage done by driver. Punishment varies from crime to crime; similarly in drink driving cases the level of punishment is also different. If you have damaged any property while drunk driving, the level of punishment is entirely changed compared to killing someone on the road.

It is the responsibility of a State to strictly implement the rules, regulations and law. Every citizen should follow the rules and regulations of law; no matter the rules belong to drink driving offenses. The chief responsibility of every citizen is to take care of rules and regulations specifically belong to driving. The rules of driving must be known that which thing to keep or which not to keep while driving. Mostly people are in habit of keeping alcohol with them when they drive, some drink it or some don’t. Question arises that why people keep when they don’t drink? Simply, it should not be kept by driver while driving. It is banned as per driving rules, because the presence of alcohol in the car may force a person that has bad effects later. This is the reason that people should not keep it in car. Thankfully, it is banned but still people violate this rule and face serious penalties, fines or punishments.

Above all reasons, the presence of mind is very important because absence mind can distract a person when on the road. If one wants to avoid accidents; then this should be strictly followed. In minor injuries or self injury cases, the offender is punished less and usually he has to pay fine. In my opinion, the fine should be paid by the driver because in all aspects drink & driving is a serious offense. It should not be taken lightly by the State or government. Hence, the person who is guilty of drink driving must be punished hard to make other people aware. No relaxation should be provided at all, but in some cases lawyers are hired when a person is innocent and finds alcohol in the car without his involvement.
